Spring Workshop in Provence
with La Châtelaine Chocolat Owners - Named
“Best Chocolatiers/Confectioners in USA - 2013”
With La Chatelaine Chocolat owners, Wlady & Shannon Grochowski. Our 11-year-old chocolat shop was named “Best....” and we've been featured in national publications, such as Victoria Magazine and Food & Wine. Wlady is a native Parisian and Shannon just became a French dual-citizen. We've spent every summer in France with our children and recently lived in this magical village, while our two boys went to the local school to improve their French.
We're delighted to offer two more chocolate & French dessert workshop in France this Spring: May 14th-19th, 2019, and May 21st-26th
We'll stay in a quiet medieval village in the south of France, where the provençaux are full of life! We'll spend our days discovering and exploring this idyllic region. We will enjoy the scents, wine, food and sunshine, and you will learn hands-on how to make your very own box of chocolates and french tartlets. But it's more than a workshop. It's a week to live the French way with “savoir vivre” and carry these precious moments back home to inspire you life.
Our Chocolate in Provence Workshop includes the following:
We'll share & teach you many of our kitchen secrets (secrets that have taken us many years to master). You'll make your very own box of chocolates from ingredients that we buy from the market. You'll learn how to make french tartlets from scratch. We will give you all of the recipes, as well as handy tips. You'll also learn some basic french and have a chance to use it with us by your side.
Outdoor Markets and buying ingredients like: lavender honey, olives, goat cheese...
Brocante (French flea market)... antique linens, silverware, ceramics, kitchen tools.
We'll teach you how to set a table the French way, using these hard-won market finds!
We'll introduce you to some local villagers who are eager to meet you.
Medieval villages, cobblestone streets, provencal gardens, the ever-so scented Garrigue, Roman architecture, lofty bell towers, 17th century bastides, ramparts, terraces, stone borries.
